KidsFest
Sunday, March 3 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Join us in celebrating South American rainforests as we highlight our Tropical Showroom. There will be masks and plenty of feathers as we nod to Brazil’s Carnaval! This annual family event presented by the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory is free and includes hands-on educational activities for children and a chance to explore the Tropical, Mediterranean and Desert Rooms. Enjoy a free raffle, critters and refreshments.

KidsFest is a FREE event! REMINDER: Guests are required to register and print tickets through the Park District website.

 

NEW in April! Learn and Grow Talks

In Celebration of the 30th Annual Plant Sale we are offering Learn and Grow Talks. The Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory Master Gardeners will highlight plants available for purchase at the 30th Annual Plant Sale. Learn about these plants, how to successfully grow them and use them! Registration is FREE to the public.

Thursday night Learn and Grow lectures start at 7 pm at the Conservatory.

April 4 – “Choosing and Growing Culinary Herbs” by Sandy Lentz
April 11 – “Choose and Grow Pollinator Plants” by Suzette Gacek
April 18 – “Create a Stunning Patio Container Garden” by Ellen Kuner
April 25 – “Become Expert at Growing Raised Bed Veggies” by Heather Guido

 

Plant Sale – 30th Anniversary
Friday, May 3 from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. (FOPCON Members Only)
Saturday, May 4 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Sunday, May 5 from noon – 3 p.m.

This annual fundraiser is sponsored by the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory. The sale features a large selection of vegetables, herbs and flowers, including many unique varieties, almost all of which are grown in our Conservatory greenhouses. This spring event is an Oak Park institution and should be experienced by everyone. FOPCON members can pre-order and/or shop early on Friday. To become a member, go to Join FOPCON on our website.

 

Spring Perennial, Houseplant and Garden Tool Exchange
Saturday, May 18 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Join other gardeners and share your favorite perennials, houseplants and extra garden tools at the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory sponsored annual Spring Exchange.  Drop off materials from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Conservatory. Come back to pick up your selection from noon – 12:30 p.m.

Uncorked at the Oak Park Conservatory
Every Fourth Friday, June through September
June 28, July 26, August 23, September 27 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Enjoy Summer at the Conservatory with music, wine and craft beer and appetizers on the fourth Fridays. Our vendors are local. We also feature an artisan offering their wares and we provide showcase tours. Admission includes two drink tickets and one food token. Uncorked is always a big hit!

REMINDER: Buy tickets in advance and save!  $15 in advance / $18 at the door.
