The 2023 Plant sale has closed

Planning for the 2023 Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory Plant Sale is underway and open to the general public! We are pleased to host this popular fundraiser for the 34th straight year and are delighted to offer you thousands of plants grown in our Conservatory greenhouses. This year’s selection will include old favorites as well as many new, exciting varietals. 

Wondering what we’re growing for 2023? 2023 Plant Sale Key Dates: 

  • April 1: Website Opens + Member Online Sale Begins at 8AM
  • April 16: Public Online Sale Begins By 10AM
  • April 30: Online Sales Close at 9PM

Learn and Grow Lectures:
This popular series of FREE virtual lectures covers topics that tie directly to our Plant Sale.  Sign up for one or all three!  Registration links coming soon.
 
  • Soil Basics: April 6, 7-8 pm.  Join the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory to learn about how to prepare your garden beds for the growing season. The focus will be on edible gardening, the basics of healthy soil, how to soil test and what to do with the results.  Register HERE.

  • Small Space Gardening: April 13, 7-8 pm.  Join us when the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory offers expert tips on growing in small spaces. Learn about using containers and raised beds along with vertical growing to maximize your space. Register HERE.

  • Companion Planting with Vegetables: April 20, 7-8 pm.  Join the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory to learn about the many benefits of companion planting. Combining edibles and annuals can create a healthier environment, attract pollinators, add beauty and texture and prevent unwanted critters. Register HERE.
