The Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory plans to celebrate its 35th Anniversary in 2021. We have the community to thank for the strength and longevity of this institution. While we are now on the National Registry of Historic Places, in the 1970s the Conservatory was in disrepair and was slated to be demolished to make way for a parking lot!
We’re so grateful to the community members who stepped in to preserve this 90-year old building. Because they did so, you have the opportunity to visit the Conservatory in a safe environment to recharge and renew your energy as we head into the colder part of this year.
