Step inside the Oak Park Conservatory and walk through our Showrooms – the Mediterranean Room, the Tropical Room and the Desert Room. Relax and rejuvenate as it gets cold outside with some nature inside! Hope to see you soon.
In the Tropical Room, enjoy the humid air and listen for the parrots and birds talking. Cross over a pond filled with Koi and goldfish. Look around and experience three levels of vegetation.
Also find large fig trees that provide the upper canopy with fruit-bearing banana and papaya trees that reach up to the sun. We have a giant anthurium, a white bird of paradise and dracaenas along with ferns, pilea, spider plants, and peperomia that cover the ground.
Cycads, a plant species older than the dinosaurs, also flourish in this room along with members of the Palm family – the Lady, Fishtail and Fan palm.
