Tours for Adults

REQUEST A TOUR

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Edwardian-style glass Conservatory, built in 1929, houses a botanical collection of more than 3,000 plants. Enjoy a rich atmosphere of flora and fauna throughout three indoor showrooms, including a Mediterranean, Tropical, and Desert room. Urban outdoor gardens surround this city escape. We welcome you to visit this hidden oasis.

We offer two types of tours:

  • Tours of the Oak Park Conservatory last approximately 1 hour.
  • The Historic Home and Garden Tour lasts approximately 3.5 hours and includes visits to Oak Park Conservatory, Cheney Mansion, and Pleasant Home.

How to Reserve Your Tour

 

Tours are offered Tuesdays – Fridays, based on availability and must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance. 

Conservatory-only tours cost $5/adult and $3/senior (65+ yrs) with a minimum of $20 per tour.

Members of the AHS Reciprocal Admissions Program can request a free Conservatory tour by contacting [email protected].

Historic Home and Garden tours cost $20/person with a minimum of 10 guests.
