What are Kitchen Minis?
Kitchen Minis are naturally compact potted vegetable plants ideal for tabletop use. If you are new to gardening or low on growing space but want to enjoy fresh-grown vegetables, Kitchen Minis are a great option to consider.
These potted vegetable plants can be placed inside on a sunny windowsill or outside on a patio table. Sold in a 4” biodegradable CowPot, each plant’s harvest can last as long as 4-6 weeks.
The FOPCON Plant Sale Committee is excited to offer these plants to our community this year. They are ideal for apartment dwellers or those with limited gardening space.

Quick Snack Cucumbers: Bred for small gardens, these compact cucumber plants grow about 2′ tall, fitting neatly into small spaces. Deliciously crisp and sweet, these cocktail-sized cucumbers do best when trellised. Place in an area with good light and keep moist for loads of fruit. A 2024 “People’s Choice” Green Thumb Award Winner.
Siam Cherry Tomatoes: ‘Kitchen Minis Siam’ is a compact, determinate cherry tomato bred for containers. The plant is perfectly sized to fit on a sunny kitchen counter or windowsill, and it will produce delightfully sweet, vibrant red tomatoes about 0.5-1″ across. What a great way to get home-grown flavor, with not a lot of work!
NEW: Mini Hot Fajita Pepper: Craving a hot pepper, but you don’t have a lot of garden space? ‘Hot Fajita’ to the rescue! This award-winning mini tops out at about 12″. The plant sets small, star-shaped flowers, followed by lime-green 4″ fruits that turn bright, fiery red as they ripen. These long, tapered chilies are fleshy and medium hot (70,000 Scoville), perfect for using fresh or dried.
